My name is April, I'm married to Clay, a very tall, very funny architect. He's the city boy and I'm the country girl but together we are turning into homesteading weirdos. We have four kids that we are trying our darndest to raise loving God and His creation. To know us is to laugh with us, we laugh a lot. Especially at each other.
April, I guess I never was impacted by Mrs. McDonald's writing like you, because although I remember her writing about geoducks, I guess I never gave it another thought. Thanks for the visual explanation.
Well you learn something new every day. I live in the Pacific NW and have gone clam digging but I have NEVER seen one of those. I prefer to think clams are these tiny little round cute guys...this would make me hurl. That thing would not go on my plate at least if I knew about it. That just looked like a giant snail or slug.....just can't bring myself to think about eating it....EWWW. Gee April, thanks for making my lunch spew.
So weird that you posted this! I just saw on TV yesterday or so this guy eating one of these gooeyducks for lunch and his co-worker looking on in horror. It was an ad for a show called Weird Foods. LOL! I'd never heard of them before that.
