The 2009 List

What's up with Blogger today? I can't get my photos to load, dang it.

I'm combing through the last years worth of photos from Coal Creek Farm. Goodness have we really only been here a year? It seems like a life time ago that we packed up and moved back to Kansas.

I have to say I've experienced a level of happiness I've never had being on this little farm. However, I wouldn't trade the time we had in Missouri for anything, because I know God used those nine years to shape my faith, teach me contentment, face my weaknesses and mature.

As I continue to look through the photos of what we've experienced since we've been back in Kansas I can honestly say I'm thankful, humbled, content, amazed and very happy.

Now, I need to write a list of things I hope to see and accomplish this year and then maybe Blogger will let me load the photos I am so eager to share with the Internet.

Okay, here goes.

In the blessed year of our Lord 2009 I would like to....

1. Paint my daughter's #*%! furniture! Har har ha ha heeeeee! Oh, I'm so funny, like I'm ever going to get this done.

2. Lose 5 pounds. I would say 10 or 15, but if I set the goal low then I might actually attain it.

3. Rip up the carpet in the upstairs hall, sand, refinish the wood floors.

4. Pay off two debts.

5. Increase the size of the garden.

6. Try to hatch some of our chicken's eggs.

7. Add two turkeys and a dozen or more chickens to our flock.

8. Raise 3-4 pigs and breed one of them. PORK FOR EVERYONE!

9. Rebuild the back stoop. During the Christmas break we've had two grown men fall flat on their cabooses while stepping off our porch. It's a death trap.

10. Pray more, read more, exercise more, love more, laugh more.

11. Get my broken tooth fixed. I think walking around with a broken molar for two years is long enough. Right?

12. Go get my eyes checked and for the love of sight....get some glasses! Bifocals are in my future.

Is twelve enough? I think so. Now, let's go see if I can get those photos loaded, m-kay?

What a wonderful, hummble, contented list.

You never cease to amaze me with your humor and your heart. And that goes for April's sister, too! (wink, wink)

I am looking forward to seeing you complete your list! And for %
#8, can I have some? Or maybe you could host a pig roast and I could come? I'll bring dessert.

A pig pickin'! That's one of our favorite family reunion events.

From a former dental assistant, please go get that tooth fixed. The chances are only increasing for a crown or root canal in your future if you put it off. Since I know you're trying Dave Ramsey's approach and all...

What a great attainable list!
Hey, btw, Flickr is much easier than Blogger for loading pictures. Food for thought, pork and chicken if you would like. Any questions about Flickr, just holler!

Love the list - maybe I should get one of my own!

Wow! That's a list. I never write one down. I don't really want to follow them and if it's written down I might have to do it!
