Confessions of a Debt Snowball Addict

Somewhere in my archives is a post about how much I hate those Crocks shoes and how I will never buy any for my kids because I think they are so hideous and I don't fall for fad crap very often and I probably mentioned how I am so much better than most of the human race too.

Confession-  I bought my two youngest cheap crock-a-crap shoe-like things at Wal-Fart and they think they are the best shoes ever.

Please, forgive me and then please, someone, anyone, put me out of my misery.  I've lost all sense of style and taste in my attempt to succeed at being THE CHEAPEST PERSON ON THE PLANET!

They're really ugly footwear, but they are convenient. For mothers, this is not all bad.

Cut yourself some slack. At least they were cheap. Bonus points that the kids love them.

They are darling in the smallest size they have in a beige color on a darling little curly red-hedded 2 year old that loves monkeys.
But how can anything not be cute on him?

Oh my gosh. This made me laugh out loud. My 18 year old has a pair of light blue real crocks that she got in Seattle last year. She wears a size 11 shoe, as do I, and they are horrendous. She only wears them with a certain outfit. One day they were by the door and I needed to run outside for something so I put them on. I was surprised they were so comfortable. I've gotten them a few time since, unbeknownst to her (and I don't care if I spelled that wrong), to do certain jobs... like pick up the dog poop that she was supposed to have done... sigh... the little secrets I have that keep me going...

I agree that they are horribly ugly. I swore that I would not buy them for my children because, not only were they ugly, but they were overpriced. Then my sister bought some for my son for his birthday. She works at an outdoorsy type of store and got a big discount on them but now my son is addicted to them. My sister's punishment for starting all this is that when he needs new ones then she has to buy them for me with her discount.

If it helps at all...the guys who run the company are AWESOME...and I agree with your kids...so comfy. I bought a pair at a theme park one day and almost cried from relief.

They are rolled back to $5.

Good job.

I have a pair of "real" crocs that I bought a year and a half ago. And I wear them EVERY day except to church on Sunday. They are the closed toe Mary Jane style. I absolutely love them and think they are the best value shoe I have ever had, since I have had 18 straight months of wear out of $28!

I think you did great....

If you bought them at Walmart and, thus did not by real Crocs, then it doesn't count. No worries! You just bought some cheap summer shoes.

I too...swore that I would NEVER buy those ugly shoes and I CERTAINLY would NOT pay the prices they were asking for those ugly shoes.
And then I tried a pair on at Wally World and I was done.
THEN, I found them at CVS drugstore for even cheaper! And even MORE comfortable..........AND they are called Doggers.
So now, anytime anyone says anything about my "crocs". I correct them 'they are NOT crocs...they are Doggers'!
