What is it???

This is a photo I snapped of a plant that lines one edge of the garden at the farm house.  I thought, hmmm what the heck is that?  I had a couple guesses, but was wrong.

When we went back for the inspection last week I got all sorts of wonderful news from the seller about what is planted on the property.  I think I'm more excited about some of the trees than I am about the porch...I KNOW, hard to believe.  It's like these people got into our heads and did everything we wanted to do to our property.  They planted peach, apple, cherry, pear and crab apple trees.  Then there are the grapes and blackberries and the icing on the cake is that plant up there.  Any guesses?

I agree with anonymous. I think it is an Asparagus Fern.

Well, the red things look like little cherry tomatoes, except the plant certainly isn't a tomato plant. I have no idea.

Looks like asparagus fern except the little leaves are longer than I have seen before.

I cheated using hints from prior comments. Are the red things pea sized?

ahem - I feel the extreme need to point out to EVERYONE that asparagus is a long green tube shaped plant - and not even remotely red and round. I have never planted a successful garden in my life - but at least I know that!

I'm with everyone else--I think it looks like an asparagus fern. Mind you, I've never even heard of such a thing in my life, because I'm a tard. But I googled it, and found a number of images that looked just like this (or very similar).

Yum! That is what asparagus looks like when you let it go to seed. It will be back next spring as delicious asparagus spears. Lucky you-- of course if your children are like mine they might not view this as good fortune when it turns up on their dinner plates.

"Asparagus densiflorus - a South African ornamental grown for its fern-like appearance and pretty red berries."

Yep, looks like an asparagus fern to me. Actually it looks like a hairy-ass weed. Don't eat the berries, although I think the birdies like 'em.

I'm sooo totally jealous of all your fruit trees. I'm on a canning spree and the thought of all that fruit makes me want to crack open a package of pectin.
