Tired

tired of packing, tired of stacking

enthusiasm lacking
feel like yakking

tired of heat and lack of sleep
tripping over the heap
that's three feet deep

tired of of the four always needing more
my body is sore
will somebody PLEASE SHUT THE DOOR?!

tired of whining , tired of rhyming
wish I was dining
instead of doing the house signing

tired of asking how, when, where and why
thank God I don't have a stye in my eye
tired of me, myself and I
so, blokin' tired I'd like to cry

but instead
I'll get up out of my bed
wake the four from the dead
make sure they are dressed and fed

one more load
then down the road
so I can sleep in my new abode

Keep going
at least it's not snowing.

That's as much of a rhyme as I could do. The porch is perfect and you should keep looking at the photo as you pack up. I wish I could help, I'm good at laundry and ironing. Not sure those talents would be helpful but that's all I've got.

Yes, Jean come do my laundry, but if you iron my clothes they might go into a state of shock....they don't know what an iron is..

Upstate-thankya, thankya very much.

Ever the entertainer, April! I love it!

You'll soon be where the hills lay their heads down, the wind sings you to sleep, the sky runs around naked in every direction, the nights drop down to chilly, and no trees stand in your way, no buildings block the morning...you see those plains aren't really plain.

You're Close to Home! Hang in there!

(These words belong to April's poetry instructor and sister, Rechelle. Listen to it on i-tunes...you'll want to move to Kansas too!!)

Just think how soon you will be able to sit in that chair on that porch and relax. Wow....worth the work.

I know this is supposed to be about you, April, but pardon me while I talk to your sister...

Rechelle, get your tissues out...I love your music. Ray's Cafe, How Things Are, Close to Home - all awesome! Someday I hope to have a recording of your "Old Brown Leather Bag" song...I think it's my favorite but I don't OWN it!

Enjoy having April back. Even though she never felt at home, many of us have grown to love her and will miss her very much.

Lori,
That was very sweet. Thankyou.

I'm actually Rechelle's biggest fan, so anytime someone wants to talk about her music I think that's great. Nashville doesn't know what they're missing!

How do you know the brown leather bag song??? I always loved that one too. I have a brand new record all recorded and everything but i can't seem to get my hands to put it in a package and mail it to a duplication service. It is some strange sort of block. But I will send you a copy if I ever get it ready.

Rechelle,
I let Lori borrow the demo tape you gave me....I almost didn't get it back.

Well, Rechelle, you have a waiting customer... I think April said your leather bag song isn't on it though. Guess you'll have to make another!

April, but the important thing is that you DID get it back...reluctantly, I admit!
