Hey Guess What?!

Remember when I showed you the envelope system? And I was all I wish I could give you one but I ain't got one to give and heaven forbid I give away the envelope system on my back, because that would be a little too charitable of me. Well, maybe I got one to give away.

Stay tuned. I think you will be oh so happy with the April.

In other news. We're doing Christmas a bit on the low down this year. And by low down I mean we're not going to be buying much. And by not buying I mean Christmas is a CRAFT!!! Check out the video below, just a little something to think about.

I know I should have started all of this months ago, but I'm April and I perform well under pressure, unless it's Monday or Tuesday or Friday or Wednesday or Sunday or Saturday. Never mind. I'm trying to get my buttomous in gear.

For those of you that are panicking with what to do for teachers, co-workers and all those extended family members I hope I can help you with some quick cute ideas. Especially if you are the type of person that likes to make something that is going to be DONE the same day you start the project. I like projects like that, yes, I like them a lot.

So, stick with me I'm bound to impress and disappoint all in one post.

Right now I'm going to put away all the fall decorations that I've been saying I'd put away for the last five days. Maybe. First I need another cup of coffee and then start some laundry then look out the window then eat something because it's been at least twenty minutes since I've had some nourishment then.....

I just love reading your words! :-) You are too funny! I really enjoyed the video and I put it on my blog as well. Things are really changing in my Family traditions for Christmas. I am loving all of it! So simple! :-)

Oh ya, I would LOVE that envelope system! I made a variation of one...just stapled 4 envelopes together! :-) ha HA! I am using it for coupons, receipts, and christmas item purchases (materials and such).

I can't wait to see what all you have planned. :o)

Wow. We're tracking on the same schedule and thought plane.

I bought two of those little wallets, one for me and one to give away in the big family gift exchange. The only problem is that I can't decide which to give and which to keep. Do I want the blue and chocolate or the red? I thought for sure it would be the blue and chocolate (which are the colors I'm wearing right now), but that red is pretty snazzy. Also, it's supposed to be a $15 gift, so should I put $5 in the wallet or make/buy something that will go along with it? Decisions, decisions!

I also have aprons to make. And pillows. These are the same aprons and pillows I was going to make last year except I ran out of time. Then I forgot that I always run out of time if I wait till after Thanksgiving to start projects. When will I ever learn? Thursday? Yes, Thursday's the day!

Yes! I'm definitely feeling the homemade gift thing this year. I just hope I've moved beyond the lopsided pink paper angels I made when I was a kid...

The husband just came storming into where I am working bellowing about our son, who took the clean clothes that my husband put on his bed and put them right back in the dirty clothes to be washed again. You are not alone, April.

Sorry.... I forgot to mention that the son in question is 31 years old. That makes it even better, doncha think?

I'm still in the bummed out stage because Christmas can't be an orgy of greed again this year. I will put my big girl panties on though, and join in. Whatcha got?!! I do like to make tied fleece blankets. Those are easy one day projects.

um well, I don't like Daves envelope system we have a compter program that operates like a financial GPS it's always calculating the fastest way to be debt free, with the date!
Kind a like a crew of Mr. Spreadsheets at your fingertips. This is the day of technology.

I'm all about crafts! Piglet is making cute aromatherapy pillows stuffed with wheat berries and herbs. They make up quick and they are pretty nice!

I have been glittering everything in site. So far I've glittered glass balls and put the year on them. I've also made cinnamon Christmas decorations and put the year on them (in glitter of course!). So if you have any thing else that requires glitter I'm available.

We've got up all the Christmas cheer up and running...at a discount. We, too, are having a very low key Christmas. I hope the kids will remember the real reason for the dang holiday...:)

I FINALLY put my fall decorations away! But please don't confuse that statement with "I put up my Christmas decorations," b/c now we are decoration-less.

I do major baking for gifts and don't buy for the majority of people. I cut way back 2 years ago, more last year and even more so this year. I've been gradually incoporating more of the Unplug the Christmas Tree ideas into our Christmas.

I also go low-key on decorations but am highlighting all my nativity scenes this month on my blog.

I had a pot of coffee before I could start on sugar cookies. :)

Dave Ramsey and the envelope system saved me when I was on a serious budget. I wish more people, as well as our leaders, would learn to live on the envelope system.
