The only people in the world that make me look like I have a tan.....
are my children. Or do they make me look jaundiced? Or does it look like I've taken a bath in tanning cream? I wish you could see my kids at the swimming pool during the summer, they emit a glow. They have no idea what a really bad sunburn feels like, the sheets of skin peeling off, the blisters on top of blisters and then the freckles in places you never thought a freckle was possible. We only buy the baby block 50 spf and we all wear it, but somehow I still get a little tan, or should I say orange-yellow?
Oh, wait a second. Look what I found! Pictures of my glowing children. These are a couple years old, but nothing has changed as far as their skin tone is concerned.

Dang, that's white. You look super tan next to them.
I need to find me some albino friends like your children to make me look tan. Once my sister told me I was so white I was see-through, b/c in the winter you can see a blue vein in MY FACE - it's very attractive :)
My skin only knows the colors white and red. Sigh.
Oh, btw, can I freeze the bierochs? I was thinking about them all week, so I finally made them last night (with the Rhodes rolls), & I quartered the recipe b/c it's just the 2 of us, and.....and.....and..... It still made 30!! We ate a combined total of 7 for dinner, & I don't see just the 2 of us being able to finish them in the next couple days..... They were DELICIOUS by the way!
Ooh, my hubby's like that. He can get a tan (or a burn) with sunblock on. I, on the other hand, have mutant skin. Glowing white, but I rarely burn or tan. Picture us sitting side by side near the pool. He's wearing SPF 30, I'm wearing nothing. After two hours he's pink, and I'm still glowing white.
I am a mutant, I admit it fully...
Friends told me that my child would be nicknamed Casper because my husband and I are so pale. Fortunately, he got my fathers tanning gene and doesn't do the burn peel routine. Over the years I've learned to stay in the shade and only go out at night. Can you say vampire?
And yes, you do look very tan in that first photo. It looks great on you.
You do look tan! I know what being that white is like! Thank goodness for SPF 50 (or blanket in a bottle as my Hubby calls it!). No more horrific sun burns! Yeah!
I didn't realize the kids were into Goth.
I'm right there with ya sister. I'm super fair, blue-eyed blonde, my hubby is red haired and fair.
My kids........yeah-fair, fair, fair!!!!! And, where do we live? Florida!!!! We have SPF 50 or above in our house and the kids wear it daily. :0)
I had a friend in school who called me milky because I was so pale skinned. My daughter's husband (then boyfriend) once told her when he saw her white legs that he was "blinded by the white". I just remind people that in the 1800's it was proper to be pale skinned.
In our family Lucas (my oldest) and I tan easily...DH and Seth (the youngest) are lily white year round...if over exposed to the sun they turn a shocking pink then fade to white in a day or so....
Well, your foot IS a little lighter than the rest of you, what's going on there??? hmmm???
LOL
We are the WHITE Family. I told my daughters to please marry someone with some color (besides Freckles) to their skin so we can import a little skin tone!
