New Year, Old Things

What I'm hoping this new year will bring.

1.  Finished dining room walls.  Cause I'm sorta over looking at the termite eaten wall.

2. A longing to exercise so severe that I run right out the door and don't stop until I'm completely de-muffin topped.

3. For a little boy named Caden to be healed from cancer.

4. A garden lush with tomatoes.

5. A cow to put in my freezer.

6. Chickens, a coop, fresh eggs.

7. Turkeys to be named Harry and Martha.

8. Fruit trees heavy laden.  Therefore causing me to beg my mom and sister to come help make a gazillion jars of preserves.

9. Oh, I'm afraid to write this....here goes, to refurbish my childhood furniture that looks like it was salvaged from the dump.  I've been meaning to repaint it for um, well, uh, 14 years.  What are the chances of me actually getting it done?

10. To read more.

11. Get back into pottery.  My fingers ache to play with Clay....I mean clay.  I really miss the wheel and the creative outlet.

12. For my parents to get their house sold so they can move closer to me and start carting my children around to games and activities while I become the next greatest potter.

13. Aaaand now for the cheese whiz.  I hope for my children to remain healthy and happy.  I can only hope for my husband to stay just the way he is, purrrfect (Honeeee, are you reading this?  I didn't mention the camera cord.....that you lost.)  And I hope for many, many more happy days here in Kansas.

How sweeeeeeeeeet!!! Hmmm... my childhood furniture needs to be refinished. I should put that on my list. Great list you have! I loved the little word play on Clay... I mean clay. Too cute. Surely made him smile!

Come check out my contest and play!

I'm pretty sure that numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, and 13 are from my list. Not sure about the Clay.

Muffin top be damned!

Since I have done numbers 4,5,6,7,and 8... You can have them!

But about Clay.

Just kidding.

"My fingers ache to play with Clay" made me laugh out loud. Too sweet. I'm sure that's one wish you'll get, but I hope they all come true for you. Especially the wish for Caden.

I've heard muffin tops are in fashion for the coming year. At least that's what I keep telling myself. The chances of me exercising regularly are greater only than the chances of me dieting. I love food too much.

Thanks for commenting on my blog April! Any advice on how to get rid of fly boy without it being traced back to me???

Btw, got a call at 7:30 am this morning from my friend, whose daughter spent the night the other night. 17 yod and friend had themselves a little photo shoot and my daughter posted all the pics on her facebook... and they were not happy. Soooooo... I go get 17 yod up to get her to show us the pics (she was less than happy). Long story short, all the pics have been removed as well as removed from her computer and camera. They were fully clothed with no skin showing... well except for one of her friend with her skirt hiked up and highheeled boot stretched out... yet somehow, with the piles of eyeliner, managed to look like little skanks... 17 yod daughter's defense??? There were no tittie cracks hanging out like the pic my 18 yod posted on her facebook.. the pic that probably brought on the fly boy...

Soooo... yes, dread the whole dating thing. Think about all the things you did and quiver in fear. All my prayers for Jesus to return are not being answered. I am white knuckling this wild ride and if you hear faint screams in the distance... they are from me, all the way in Colorado!
