Ice Ice Baby...
We're in the middle of an ice storm and hopefully, we won't loose power again. It went out about 3 a.m and then all the hard wired fire detectors started going off. It was so stinkin' loud, we were trying to figure out how to turn them off in the pitch black. It scared the bajeebas out of Ike and he didn't know what to do, so he just sat in his top bunk and cried until I was able to feel my way to his bed and rescue him. Eventually, they went off, but I'm not sure how we did it or if we did it. After that we had two little boys in our bed. Two little boys that turn into giant coal fired furnaces and make it their mission to see just how small a space their parents can cling to and still stay on the bed.
I'm filling a big container up with water so we'll be able to flush the toilette. I know, you all wanted that bit of info.
The worst news today......new furniture delivery postponed. Waaahahahaahaaa! Stupid ice storm, oh well, I still have Harry Pottah.

We had our hard wired smoke detectors go off at 3 am a week ago. The alarms screamed for 45 minutes, and only John, Rachel, Nathan, and I woke up-something wrong there-the other 5 children slept through it! We had to remove the batteries and turn the breakers off and then they chirped the rest of the night, only to go off again at 7 am. I am pretty sure no one really knows how to handle those things!! We called an electrician and even he didn't know. Tis the season...
Debbie, that's a bit alarming...get it? Alarming, that the kids slept through that noise.
Not a thing wrong with wanting to flush the toilet... flushing is a good thing.
And I spy archives!!!!! Woohoo! You read HP. I'm off to read April.
Thank you! Thank you!
(pssst April, I am having my 2nd blog giveaway...if you like cutesy Art, check it out)
Yes, quite alarming(you are funny)-what do we have to install to actually wake our kids if there really is a fire?
How about the smell of bacon frying? That always get my kids out of bed quick.
Good idea-should I leave bacon out by the furnace and fireplaces and electrical box?
I'm glad you guys are okay. I thought of you when I saw the storm forecast.
At least your boys made sure you didn't get cold! :)
