Home Again
No, I'm not pregnant. No, I still don't have my tooth fixed. No, I'm not buying a new minivan, but it is filthy from all the trips we've taken recently and that alone could cause me to hide under my covers and whimper, but the news I have to share overshadows any mountain of laundry, sticky floor or urine stained bathroom.
So here's the big news. Ready? Huh? Yes? Okay, you don't have to yell.
We are moving. Finally. We're not just moving to a new house or to something that I found down the street, no, we are packing up and heading back West. Back where we belong. Kansas my friends, Kansas.
It's been a long road to get back home, but we finally made it. God just flung open doors and to put a cherry on top He showed me this.
Isn't she lovely? The house, not Rechelle, who is sitting on the steps. I'll share more photos soon. She's not ours yet, we're working on that today. I'll also tell you the great story of how this all came about, but for now I'm wheeling and dealing with the seller of that farmhouse.
Sorry, I had to keep you all hanging. I had to let Clay tell his current employer that he's leaving before I opened my big mouth up to the world.
I feel, I feel, I....don't know. It's all so big. Hopefully, I won't wake up and find myself drooling on my keyboard.

Congrats! I still hope you get your tooth fixed soon.
Dreamy, just dreamy! I'm excited, sad and envious all at the same time! Eric's friends keep leaving town...he'll be devastated. (Although, quite frankly, since you've been in Eureka, you might as well have been in Kansas!)
Can't wait to see more photos!
You can live just on the porch! It's really beautiful, congratulations.
Oh! I am so happy for you. How exciting! The house looks great. And that porch...how perfect. Congratulations.

That is the most perfect looking house I have seen in such a long time. There is one that looks almost identical up the road from us. I always tell my hubby that if it ever sells I want it. I love the porch especially. Congrats and I hope everything falls into place soon.
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. And the house looks wonderful. :) Of course, we're sad to see you go....

Hi,
Oh good luck with your new home -- I'm hoping it is yours by now. It is so dreamy! I've only driven through Kansas when I moved from Texas to Wisconsin but it was so pretty. That side porch (I don't know the name for it) is just stunning, as are the flower-shaped stencil cut-outs below the deck (okay, can you tell I'm not a real home improver, I don't even know the names for anything!) Best of luck!
April,
Well, I guessed from your post on Friday that this would be the big news. The house is beautiful, and I know you'll be happy there. But we'll hate to see you go.
Wow, that is a big surprise. You guys will be very missed! But I know you will be happy to be home!
Congratulations! So happy for you...so sad for us...
WOOHOO! Another Kansas Girl. Maybe we can meet for lunch the next time we ride through ;D
that porch is breath taking.
It's such a beautiful house. I hope it becomes your family's beautiful HOME!
Oh -- that is better than a urine stained stick. ;) Sorry you aren't preggo... but that house -- April -- You Lucky Dog!!! Is your sister jealous? She has to work her BUTT off and you get it handed to you one a platter? (Well yeah.. you have to pay for it.. but you know..) Yippee... Beautiful House...even better if you click on it... I got to see the loverly detail around the bottom of the porch. NEAT O!!
YOU LUCKY DOG!! (Did I say that already?) Ü
OK -- so now I'm curious.... what are the 2 comments that were deleted? :/
