Grandpa

Day is done,
gone the sun, from the lakes,
from the hills, from the sky...
All is well, safely rest,
God is nigh...

Fading light,
dims the sight
and a star gems the sky
gleaming bright
from afar drawing nigh
falls the night,

Thanks and praise for our days
'neath the sun,
'neath the stars,
'neath the sky...
As we go, this we know...
God is nigh

April, I remember sitting with Herb at a fellowship dinner at our church. My grandma happened to be at the same dinner. She has Altzheimer's (sp?) as well. Herb and my grandma just kept on smiling all through dinner. My grandma turned 94 years old yesterday. She can't hear or remember anything, but she keeps on smiling and always tells me this, "Anne, every morning when I wake up, I thank God for another day." I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you enjoyed this story. anne h.
